Auto-focus and UI Locking: When you click the Play button on any discipline, the viewport smoothly auto-scrolls to the racing canvas and locks keyboard inputs directly to the game engine. Hub buttons are automatically disabled during an active run to prevent accidental interruptions.

Checkpoint Tracking, Lap Progression, and Victory Conditions

Sequential Checkpoints: Every racing circuit features a sequence of glowing checkpoints mapped across the canvas. You must drive through them in precise chronological order to advance your checkpoint index.

Lap Completion & Audio Cues: Successfully passing through the final checkpoint of the circuit and looping back to index zero completes a full lap. Upon completion, a distinct lap sound effect plays (`lap.wav`), and the top-left HUD updates your progress dynamically (e.g., displaying `Lap 1/3`, `Lap 2/3`, etc.).

Victory Sequence & Banners: The race concludes the exact moment any vehicle (either you or an AI rival) successfully completes the target number of laps (`totalLaps = 3`). Triggering this condition immediately pauses simulation physics, fires a celebration cheer audio effect (`cheer.mp3`), overlays a prominent victory banner displaying the winner's name (e.g., *🏆 You Win the Race!* or *🏆 Rival 1 Wins!*), and reveals the **End Race** button to let you head back to the hub.

Advanced Racing Strategies & Tips

Strategic Boost Utilization: Save your Spacebar / Virtual 'B' boost activations for long, straight pathways. Igniting a nitro boost mid-corner will drastically increase your momentum and make it difficult to maintain control within the track boundaries.

Cornering & Braking: Tap or hold the brake/reverse key slightly before sharp turns, then smoothly accelerate out of the apex to preserve your maximum average speed.

Difficulty Scaling: Use the difficulty selector at the top-right of the game screen (Easy, Normal, Hard) to adjust AI vehicle pathfinding accuracy and reaction speeds to match your skill level.
